The German company “Margarete Keidel - CURENA” arranges the assignments. CURENA Limited, based in Limassol (Cyprus), employs the caregivers and deploys them to their assignments across Europe. That means: for you as a caregiver, we are your reliable, contractual employer.

MFA – medical office assistants for practices in Germany
“MFA” is the official German professional title for medical office assistants. Practices in Germany are urgently looking for qualified staff — we place you directly with a practice that fits you. You are employed by the practice itself, and our placement service is free of charge for you.

Frequently asked questions
Who is my employer?
Your employer is CURENA Limited, based in Limassol, Cyprus. You receive a proper employment contract — you are not self-employed.
Where will I work?
Assignments are with families across Europe. We take your language skills, experience and preferences into account when matching you.
Do I need to speak German?
Basic German or English helps a lot, especially for assignments in German-speaking countries. We are happy to advise you.
Can I apply if I am not an EU citizen?
Yes, you can apply from any country. If you already hold a residence permit with work authorisation for Germany or another EU country, things can often move quickly. Without one, a visa procedure is required first — it usually takes several months and depends on your qualification and country of residence, so short-term assignments are not possible in that case. We review every application individually.
Do you also place medical office assistants (MFA)?
Yes. We currently place MFAs with medical practices in Germany. Unlike caregivers, you are employed directly by the practice — CURENA arranges the match, and the placement is free of charge for you.
What do I need as an MFA?
A completed MFA training or a comparable medical qualification from abroad, plus good German (at least B2) — everyday practice work means talking to patients and using German practice software. Professional experience is welcome but not a must.
Does it cost anything to apply?
No. Applying and being placed through CURENA is free of charge for caregivers.
Do I need a CV or documents?
A CV helps but is optional at first. You can simply tell us about yourself — we will guide you through the next steps.
How quickly can I start?
That depends on your availability and the open assignments. After your application we usually get in touch within a few working days.
